Game Setup
- Players: 4 players form two teams of two, sitting opposite each other.
- Deck: A standard 52-card deck is used. The ranking goes from Ace (highest) to 2 (lowest).
- Dealing: Each player receives 13 cards. Cards are dealt one at a time in clockwise order.
How to Play Whist
- Trump Suit: A random card is revealed to determine the trump suit, which outranks all others during a trick.
- Leading the Trick: The player to the dealer’s left starts the first trick. Players must follow suit if they can.
- Winning the Trick: The highest card of the led suit wins—unless a trump card is played, in which case the highest trump wins.
- Following Suit: Players must play a card of the led suit if available. If not, they may play any card, including a trump.
- Scoring: Teams earn points for each trick won above six. First to 7 or agreed-upon score wins.
